Eating Habits- General Gyan

What’s your favourite time of the day?

If your answer is mealtimes, then you are a just the same as about nearly 86% of the Earth’s population.

Humans over the years, have mastered the art of culinary cooking and perfecting all types of delicacies. From the Carnivores and Herbivores to the Omnivores, we all love to eat.

And then, there are the dieteers. Why does one diet? Maybe its..

Whatever it might be, is dieting really the best answer for all of the above?

Restricting yourself to the access of food will never help you in the long run and will mostly lead you to binge eating. After an entire an entire day of dieting, you might feel so hungry and deprived that you eat your last meal in bigger quantities just to satisfy your hunger.

There are of course certain diets and techniques that will only make you healthier and stronger without the need to starve yourself. Here are some daily habits that you can follow if you are the one who loves to eat and not miss a meal of their day.

Rule 1

Find a Healthy Diet suitable for YOU

There are new fancy diets found on the internet each week. From celebrity diets and miracle diets to professional diets. Not everyone has the same body type. Just because you read that a diet is suitable to all types of people, it is not often so. Eat food that you are comfortable with and not because someone online has suggested it.

Rule 2

Follow the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner rule

There is a saying; Breakfast like a king, lunch like a minister and dinner like a beggar. As said always, breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day. You can eat as much as you want for breakfast (healthy food of course!) because you have the whole day to work off the meal. Lunch should be an average meal with dinner being the most miserly. Have light food and never eat heavy dinners after 8.

Rule 3

Balance out Your Food

Make sure your daily meals have a proper balance of Proteins, Carbohydrates and fats. Having an excess or shortage of this may lead to weight gain or make weight loss hard.

Rule 4

Eat Raw

It is a universal fact that fruits and vegetables are healthy for you. We tend to take advantage of this by replacing fruits with natural fruit juice. But did you know that nearly 43% of the fruits nutrients are lost when made into juice? Eat your fruits raw than rather drinking them. Switch your snacks of cookies and chips to raw veggies like carrots and cucumbers.

Rule 5

Do NOT take your Feelings out on Your Food

There are those of us who eat to supress their emotions. Feeling sad? Grab an ice-cream! Today isn’t your day? Grab a treat on the way home! This is the most regular habit that leads to binge eating. Learn to supress your emotions from affecting your food intake.

Rule 6

Do NOT starve yourself

Though it might seem harmless at the beginning, starving oneself is the most dangerous forms of weight reduction. It has often been stressed by health experts that starving or skipping meals will never help in weight loss. It can destroy your immune system and disrupt the balance between protein, calorie and glucose levels.

Though it might seem like there is a great loss in weight, it is only the water weight that you lose due to dehydration. Sooner or later when you decide to go back to your regular diet, you will find that you will put on 3 times of weight than what you were before.

Eat to your ideal lifestyle. For all the above rules to make a difference in your lives, you must make the decisions as you pull the strings to your life.

Eat to a healthier you and a healthier future and feel happy while doing so. You should feel satisfied every time you have a meal and know that you are making progress to a healthier lifestyle.

So go out there and eat to a healthier and fitter you!
